Good news from the Supreme Court, with an 8-0 ruling overturning a previous lower court rulings that stopped free speech anti-abortion protests. I'm not lawyer (FAR from it), but basically pro-choice groups and link-minded judges have been using racketeering and extortion laws to stop anti-abortion protests. I'm sure you can make legal language say what you want, but I find it insulting that a judge, wearing a hallowed black robe, would use laws meant for gangsters and murders to stop men and women with conscience who believe that abortion ends life and destroys society. Good for the Court. Over at NewsMax (probably the most hit website by yours truly), they have a good article up on this.
Amazingly, both labor organizers and social activists sided with anit-abortion groups like Operation Resuce. But good for them. Not only has the execution of these laws helped snuff out free speech (where's the ACLU on this?), it also personally insults every person who is pro-life to have laws made for gangsters used on them. Its also another chip in the ritghous cause of ending abortion. I go back and forth on this so much, between my head and my heart. My head, centered in suburban Republican politics, fears about the repercussions on overturning Roe v. Wade. But as a born, raised, and believing Roman Catholic, I can't find anything more morally reprehensible than abortion, and this country's soul will be redeemed when abortion is overturned.
