Wonkette, James Young, and Kilo all have posts on James Webb;s son, "Webb-stah," has some not so fun language on his MySpace page.
My thoughts are summed up this way:
Who cares.
First off, Webb's son is in the Marines, he's braver than I am. And if I were in Iraq or wherever he is, I'd want some porn too, to be honest with you. This is, in my opinion, an attempt for some GOP bloggers to "get back" at the Democratic ones for the Allen-Sidarth-Mascaca disaster. Webb, Jr. is doing nothing wrong or illegal and people need to lay the hell off. We need to put all of this behind us and move on. The last thing this race needs is activists on both sides looking for dirt on people's families. Lets put this back behind us, becasue it only helps Webb. This is the only way he can win, because on effort, the issues, and every other calculation Allen wins hands down.
This stuff with Webb's son is both ridiculous and really out of line. He's not the candidate, his father is. For god sakes, he's in the Marines serving his country in combat.
You are right Mason. My whole point with all of this is it is all a bunch of macaca. The left says Allen learned it from his mother-Absurd. Did Webbstuh learn it from Dad-Absurd. I do not find any of it racist. Is this type of speech appropriate? That is another question.

I was almost going to compliant you for making a good point, but of course you have to defend the use of the n-word in the same post. Shameless.

Thank you, Kilo. I posted this purely on a "turnabout is fair play" theory.
Sometimes, I wonder if this is pre-emptive, since there can be little doubt that Webb used less-than respectful references to Southeast Asians during his service in Viet Nam.
Who said Webb doesn't believe in pre-emption?

James, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight knowing I have disappointed you. :-D
