I have had a couple of birdies chirping in my hear that my esteemed state senator, J. Chapman Petersen, is furious that Steve Stombres was not just elected last night, but that he finished so high. Its like icing on the cake, isn't it?

I've known Chap for over 10 years- and he wasn't even furious after HE has lost elections- so this sounds like crap to me. But I haven't talked to him since election night.

Have to agree with Ben. Steve is no threat to Chap. Steve's future is on the Hill. He has no interest in running for delegate, senator or whatever in Va.
Again Chris, this City has some major issues that the new council is going to have to address. They don't need your "thoughts" on he is a Republican and he is a Dem. "It will be fun to watch" One more time...non-partisan, work together, sit on the one potential grandstander who will be on the council and get on with the job they were elected to do.

Yeah. Chap doesn't seem to get furious. I think your birdies are whispering out their tail feathers.
I voted for JMDD, by the way. I'm not a Chap supporter politically. But he's a decent guy and he's a good neighbor. And he's very level headed.
