The UFC is ending the year with a absurd show on Dec 27 in Vegas.  Three huge fights headline the show and if anyone wants to see MMA at its best:

-Antonio Rodrigo"Minotauro" Nogueira (c) vs. Frank Mir-Interim Heavyweight Title 
-Forrest Griffin (c) vs. Rashad "Sugar" Evans-Light Heavyweight Title
-Rampage Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva

These are unbelievably important fights for all those involved.  The winner of the Nog/Mir fight will fight either Couture/Lesnar to unify the titles.  And chances are the winner of Rampage/Wandy will take on either Forrest or Evans.  Big BIG fights.

But before that happens make, there is a big local event coming up at the Patriot Center on October 11, UWC Invasion.  Unfortunately I won't make it because I'll be in Rochester NY then, but I encourage anyone interested in the sport who hasn't seen it yet to check it out.  The UFC is definitely looking at this area, with Dana White recently commenting that he's looking at Virginia for a potential 2009 show.
