I just can't figure this out, how can John Brownlee and Brownlee's supporters continue to claim that Ken Cuccinelli is "unelectable" but continue to move to his right on everthing . . . and thats pretty far to the right. Now Brownlee (mouthed by his blogger-lacky) is touting an endorsement from former Rep. Tom Tancredo. How can anyone claim that Cuccinelli is unlelectable while at the same time touting an endorsement from perhaps the most divisive Republican out there. Tancredo's appearances are generally followed by riots. This is suppose to be bringing the big tent back to Republicans? Suddenly touting Tom Tancredo's endorsement means Cuccinelli is unelectable? Come on, guys . . . lets get serious. It continues to be the curious case of John Brownlee, a man who goes tot he right of Ken Cuccinelli at every oppurtunity and then claims he can't get elected.
As part of the Cuccinelli for Attorney General campaign's ongoing effort to keep delegates informed on the issues discussed in this campaign, we decided in light of John Brownlee's misguided, deliberate attempt to mischaracterize Ken's FACTUAL record on immigration, that we would list Ken's position, and the numerous successful bills passed into law, dealing with this topic. Of the candidates in this race, Ken has the ONLY SOLID, PROVEN RECORD on this - and many other issues - that the next Attorney General will have to deal with. The question is - who do you trust to represent them? Candidates that have nothing but rhetoric? Or a trusted conservative with a record to back it up?
CUCCINELLI ON IMMIGRATION
It's one thing - as in John Brownlee's case - to just say you are against Illegal immigration - but with Ken Cuccinelli, his rhetoric is backed with ACTION. It defies logic that a campaign - in this case John Brownlee's - would deliberately publish half-truth's. But as we all know, campaigns that get stuck in the mud start to throw it.
Ken is a FOUNDING MEMBER of the national organization of State Legislators for Legal Immigration. He is committed to passing legislation (not just talking about it - a critical difference) that removes the economic incentives that encourage illegal immigration. Illegal aliens who choose to break additional laws by stealing identities, dealing drugs, joining criminal gangs, driving without a license or committing fraud must receive prompt justice and deportation. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Ken is the ONLY candidate for Attorney General with a PROVEN Record….not to sound like a broken one. Ken doesn't merely say "this is my position, vote for me" (we have ample evidence of Republicans who say one thing - then do another) - but every position is backed by actual legislative effort.
Ken is the only candidate for Attorney General that:
Excellent point Chris!
Browlee is trying to say he is actually just as Conservative as Cuccinelli to win the nomination, but will ultimately run wildly back to the center for the election.
That is what impressed me most about Cuccinelli when he came to our Staunton-Augusta, Waynesboro Breakfast...
He has historically campaigned on a solid Conservative platform, and actually voted that way in the Senate... while in a NOVA district....
I see why VCDL is solidly behind him.

You guys are amazing. Cuccinelli votes with Tim Kaine on an important death penalty issue (the Triggerman Rule), and you applaud his vote and claim Brownlee is being unfair. Now, Cuccinelli gets squishy on illegals and you blame Brownlee for getting the support of the most conservative leader on immigration issues. And, what's more amazing is that you still call Cuccinelli a "principled conservative." The bottom line for some of you is that Cuccinelli can say anything and vote anyway he wants, and you will always back him. I want a strong conservative who is ready and qualified to be AG. Brownlee is going to win this thing so big!

Cuccinelli's principles are so strong that he said he didn't want to get involved in the Frederick affair because he was scared and selfish. None of the others got involved either, but they didn't state their reasons so obviously and in such contradiction to their principles. If Cuccinelli is so principled in always standing up for what he believes he should have spoke up for his buddy Jeff Frederick. Cuccinelli is far too political to be an effective AG.

"Cuccinelli is far too political to be an effective AG"
???
What kind of stupid statement is that. Bob McDonnell started running for govenror the day after he was sworn into office, he was handing out "McDonnell 2009" bumper stickers at apperances for 2007 senate and delegate candidates. Don't be stupid, LI, the AG's office is the most political one out there.

It shouldn't be.

Pwned.

And, of course, John Brownlee is an austere, noble man that is completely above the fray of base electoral politics, and only seeks the greater good of the people of the Commonwealth.
LI, really. Come on.
