You know, digesting all the money that has been raised by our candidates in Virginia this year I started wondering why there wasn't more corruption in this state given the cash flying around. I've come to the conclusion that this is just more proof that the less government regulation the better. Its not a hard formula . . . let anyone give as much as they want and make every single dollar transparent on the internet and elsewhere. Its nice to see that sometimes simple is better, that less regulation is better.

Dude,....but,...but...but then incumbents can't regulate the system to keep themselves in power. What are you thinking??!!

This is one of the few ways that our one-term limit is effective. You can't make governors do what you want after a contribution because they don't face the voters again and don't need you to keep donating after they win (running for federal office is a whole different deal).
