Perhaps its the Dullard From Bath County?
Thanks to Weekly Standard (via TC) we see that Creigh Deeds wasn't above a little gay-baiting when running in his rural House of Delegate district in 2009. So . . . if we can count 1989 as a road into Bob McDonnell's minds eye, can we count 1999 for Creigh Deeds, who's clearly gay baiting to win rural votes? Here is Deeds PROUDLY talking about how anti-gay he is. Bob McDonnell is attacked as anti-women and anti-gay because of a thesis 20 years ago centering around strengthening the family through stability and traditional values, but he has never ever campaigned on bigotry like this. Unbelievable but it will no doubt sadly go unreported. Maybe Amy Gardner see it, but that will guarantee its buried I suppose.
NO SPECIAL RIGHTS FOR GAYS
I don't believe in discrimination, but I don't believe in special rights for anyone. I have never voted to allow gay partners to receive medical insurance -- or any other benefit -- from the state. It's sad that Mr. Collins has to resort to bigotry and hate-mongering.
Did someone send this to Amy Gardner? She writes about this stuff for the Post. Oh, wait....it's only 10 years old (not 20) and about a Democrat? Then, nevermind.
