The Coming Afghan Quagmire

A quick word.  If we aren't 100% committed through funding, resources, and perserverence to win the fight then we need to bring out troops home tomorrow.  What we must learn from Vietnam is that we cannot fight a war on the side, lurching from one benchmark to another to save any president who gets defined by a conflict.  What I hear from Obama worries me, it sounds just like what Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon argued for.  Patience, time, fighting peicmel won't work.  If Obama is sending the troops in without the absolute will to withstand every single issue and win, don't do it.  Bring them home.  Because troops will die for nothing, just like they did in Vietnam.
