Seriously, he went to Baltimore and let House Republicans ask him questions and he answered them. Not a lot of guys would do that. But despite what he says, how bipartisan DC is is all up to him and the Democrats in Congress. They control everything, its their choice whether Republicans get a seat at the table or not. And so far, both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have shown no interest in doing so. So while Obama complains about Republicans being the party of no, its him and the congressional leadership that have shut them out completely so they have no chance to do anything. So of course they fight back.
This was a nice first step, but lets see if Obama is willing to back up his words and do more that "talk" to Republicans, that HE will actually incorporate GOP ideas into the jobs bill, into health care. I'm not holding my breath.
Reagan met with Democrats dozens of times during his Presidency. Didn't make a show of it. He just did it. It was what he did during a day in the life.
And Reagan's criticisms of his political opponents were oblique, rare when one considers he always had a Democratic house to work with and jocular. That's the kind of commitment and style that's necessary to get bipartisan reults.
It takes maturity and experience to do what Reagan did, not much of that from the current POTUS.

Big deal. Obama is still a freaking Marxist. He would be a Bolshevik, but he's never read history, so he doesn't know how to be one. Besides, he doesn't seem to be very handy with tools, like an ice pick.
Meeting with Republicans just once? A Marxist tactic. He still does not need one Republican vote to pass his crap through Congress.
And now we learn he gets his spiritual guidance from his Blackberry. Geeze! How creepy is that?
