Actually, Dan is probably not sick in a clinical sense. He seems to be representative of liberals and progressives in general who are disassociated from society in general and estranged from normal interpersonal relationships and denial of their condition. In a sense he suffers from delusional feelings of self-importance and shattered self esteem. Intervention therapy is generally not successful in such cases. Failure is often their best medicine. Often, the deeper the denial, the worse the underlying conditions.

Tommy, the thread is about the campaign for the Republican nomination in the 11th CD. In as much as that discussion involves, in part, the ineptitude of the Fimian campaign it seems to make you and your cohorts uncomfortable.

You say that I am a "self described Connolly operative". Perhaps it is you who should take your meds to deal with your hallucinations. I have never described myself that way. In fact I have never worked in any of Connolly's campaigns in any capacity. I described myself as being a supporter of Connolly's re-election because I want to see the seat remain in Democratic hands. Connolly would not be my first choice for a Congressman, but I prefer he hold the seat over either of the Republican possibilities.

Once again you Fimian kids make personal attacks rather than make a case for your candidate. Is it really so difficult to come up with reasons why people might want to vote FOR him rather than against someone else? I have asked repeatedly what that case might be. I have prodded you folks to state the case. And yet you can't seem to construct one. Instead you act as if merely asking why someone should support your guy is an affront.

Likewise with the electability argument. You seem to take offense (and launch the personal attacks) at the mere mention of the possibility that Fimian might be the weaker general election candidate. But you decline to state any reasons why someone might think otherwise.

I imagine that there are folks reading this blog who will be voting in the GOP primary in June who have yet to decide how they are going to vote. Might this not be an opportunity for you to let them know why your guy is the best and most electable candidate? Your refusal to make that case when asked so often to do so may be interpreted by them to indicate that the reason the Fimian campaign is almost entirely negative is that you don't have much of an affirmative case.

A good chunk of those primary voters will be old farts like me. They remember when Jack Herrity was Chairman and most of them think he did a pretty good job in that post. They aren't likely to believe (much less be persuaded by) a narrative of lies and distortions about his son that reads like it was put together by twelve year olds. If that is all you've got (and it certainly appears that is all you've got) then you will likely have a great deal of free time after June 8th.

As to, how did you put it? "squatting on a conservative site", I had no idea you were so fragile that you could only deal with opinions that mirror your own. Perhaps politics is not the field for you.

At any rate, Chris runs a very nice blog here and in my experience he has always been respectful of all viewpoints. Even those he vehemently disagrees with. And, unlike some weaker souls on both the left and the right, he doesn't censor views he disagrees with. He has strongly held views that he makes a case for. He doesn't shrink from that when challenged.

I may disagree with Chris on many things, but I am glad a young person like him takes a keen interest in politics. He might move things in a direction different from what I would, but as long as the right kind of people stay engaged I believe this country will continue to be just fine.

You might want to follow his example. Rather than just slinging mud.

I'm not sure why blog hosts allow cyber-squatters like Dan to post on their sites. Their comments are clearly meant to disrupt dialogue and stifle discussion. But, then they are humorous. And as Jack suggests, a bit sick.

I would would like to call Dan out for what he really is. A thief and a scoundrel. Dan says he supports Connolly. Connolly is worse than a thief in my opinion. He's an intergenerational thief, stealing money from our kids, grand children, and great grand children to pay for pork and borrow for deficit spending. This no different than if Connolly crashed in your kitchen door and stole money off the counter while you are away at church. It is just as immoral and as unethical as if Connolly picked your child's pocket and stole his lunch money.

Dan, you support this creepy unethical Connolly. Dan, you have morals of a thief. You should be ashamed.

Chester

For sure, Connolly is an immoral and unethical person. He should be incarcerated along with Madoff for spending money he doesn't have. If Connolly was on the Board of Directors of a private company, he'd be indicted, prosecuted and convicted of theft.

Dan supports that type of behavior. So, he's guilty too. And if Dan blogs at night, that would make a burglar, too.

beantown gurl

For sure, Dan is a tax thief, like his hero Connolly. He's the type of Dem who will cross party lines and vote for Herrity, another tax raiser.

Buzz A

Dan is a typical Herrity blogger. They say know Herrity raised taxes, but they squat on the conservative sites to trash Fimian anyway they can, hoping to change the dialogue. The facts are clear. Connolly raised taxes. Herrity raised taxes. And they'll do it again, if given the opportunity. The only way to stop them is to vote for Fimian in the Primary and in the General.
