Because THIS is an impressive legal resume. And someone told me he was lead counsel in the Citizens United case.

I think he might have represented Citizens United at one point if I remember his palmcard correctly. I'd imagine if he were lead counsel in their successful supreme court fight, he'd have included that on the resume you linked, though (it's not).
Still, that's a very impressive resume with plenty of conservative credentials. I like this guy already.

I saw him speak at the FCRC meeting last night. He does have a very impressive resume and has worked hard on a number of important issues. My concern was that he focused almost exclusively on national issues dear to conservatives when he spoke, and didn't address anything he would do (better) as a State Senator.

I've known Miller since February 1999. The guy is brilliant, plain and simple. When it comes to constitutional law he simply operates on a higher plane than the rest of us. He successfully argued, and won, the US Supreme Court case of Foster v. Love, 522 US 67 (1997), a unanimous decision regarding Louisiana's unconstitutional "open primary" election system whereby they essentially held federal elections a month before Election Day. I presume he didn't mention that in his literature because it wasn't Virginia-related. I believe he was co-counsel in the Citizens United case; actually, as I recall he was co-counsel for two cases argued on consecutive days that year, which is really something impressive. (The pressure, even for co-counsel, when you go to the Supreme Court is extremely intense.)
Give him a listen. It should be worth your time.
