Stewart might be on to something . . . with the uncertainty in the GOP field Rep. Paul will have a voice in this nominating process. I just don't see the math where he can get the nomination, but he's the stubborn on man who just believes in his beliefs I think he will be the last guy to drop out. I really do like and respect Ron Paul . . . and the guy beat everyone but one person at this straw poll, I think he has a gripe.
I had not, frankly, ever paid much attention to RP. However, when I watched the Iowa GOP forum, he absolutely tickled me with his consistent intensity in telling us exactly what he thought and why he thought it, in stark contrast to every other candidate, who tried so so hard to serve up what he/she thought the Iowa voters wanted to hear. Bravo, Dr. Paul. That I think about 30% of what you say is barmy doesn't diminish my admiration for your integrity. Moreover, the other 70% (perhaps even some of the 30%) is stuff that we need to hear. We are completely benumbed by cant, jargon and buzzwords in the American political process. Let's find smart people who have given things some deep thought and will talk freely about their views.
