Good stuff. I think that we are stuck with Mittens, unless there be some willing to jump in right now with an organization able to collect signatures in VT and (I can't remember the other states with looming deadlines). The real challenge as I see it, is marrying up our conservative senatoral candidates from red states with a Massachusetts moderate. We should be putting more national focus on the senate. Without a majority in the other have of congress, it won't matter whether the president be Obama or Mittens.

I hate that we have gotten to that argument, its a telling sign of how depressed Romney makes the grassroots conservative feel that they will work harder on Senate races than getting him elected president. Its a TERRIBLE idea, if Romney is the nominee we need to go all out for him but I definitely understand the sentiment. Its just not smart. Obama proved with the Cordray and NLRB appointments he could give a shit about Congress or the Constitution. He must be beaten.

Without a doubt. My concern is putting very conservative senate candidates on the same ballot as Romney, and losing the WH and the Senate. The only way Mittens wins the conservative vote is with a very strong, very conservative running mate from the South. I think Jim DeMint would be an excellent choice.

Oh, and I think that someone who might jump in at the last minute would be Sarah Palin, and I think she would probably do very well in the primaries - but I'm not so sure she could stand in the general. She has the organization to win, and with Michelle Bachman out of the picture, she picks up a lot of Tea Party support.
