Politico tells the tale of two Santorums: The culture warrior and the Pennsylvania pol.
For a Pennsylvania Republican, and especially a social conservative like Santorum, constituent service, bringing home federal checks and trumpeting his clout was a necessity for political survival. It was part of his appeal to members of both parties in the Keystone State. But that half of his political personality — Rick the Rust Belt pol — left a trail of controversial votes and odd coalitions that are proving hard to explain to conservatives.
Oh neat, so he's a pro-life theocrat who also believes in big government to solve our problems. And he was such a good politician in Pennsylvania that he got a whopping 41% of the vote in 2006.

You have heard him speak and read what he's put out there, right? There is zero question that he aims to use the government to enforce his version of morality.

Every law depends on a moral precept. Government's main function is to protect us from injustice caused by others. The state has an interest when an innocent person’s rights are violated, even if they can’t yet talk. The Constitution and Declaration of Independence call us to protect life. You and I are bound by the Constitution to secure the blessings of liberty for our posterity. Whatever Santorum might want to do, you can rest assured that he will go through the legal process. Unlike Barak Obama who has abused his executive authority time and again. Or to state it another way he is using government to enforcing his own version of morality. He is the type of person that we should fear.

Yes, both Barack Obama and Rick Santorum want to expand the size and scope of government. I won't be voting for either of them in November.
