The Establishment in Tampa used the Ron Paulers as cover to fundamentally strip away the influence of conservatives and grassroots activists from selecting delegates to the National Convention in future years. That we all know. The problem is while hiding behind the eeeeeevil Ron Paul, the GOP took power away from nearly every grassroots conservative from social conservatives and tea partiers to the liberty movement. The anger is palpable and I hope my friends in the Tea Party understand that while this was "aimed" at Ron Paulers as a way to pass this, in fact these rules would make it harder for all insurgent candidates, such as one by SoCon warrior Rick Santorum. We have allowed the "presumptive" nominee to have veto power of those who would nominate him. Its why I feel so powerful that all grassroots movements, from the liberty to the tea party, need to get together. Here in Virginia, this is exactly the coalition Ken Cuccinelli is working to build and why he wanted a convention so badly.
