There are not many Republicans I am excited about in this new 113th Congress. We have upgraded in certain places, downgraded in others. The additions of Jeff Flake to the Senate and the return of both Steve Stockman and Matt Salmon to the House will be an upgrade. But there are two fresh faces that I am excited to watch and see how they handle the DC pressure-cooker.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie.
Both should be excellent additions to the pro-liberty movement slowly growing in Congress. Both are young and articulate with interesting backgrounds. More importantly, both won't be shrinking violets and should jump feet first into the deep end of the congressional shark tank.
