THE DUCKS ARE GOING TO WIN THE STANLEY CUP IN 7 GAMES
I am fully convinced of this. I could site J.S. Giguerre, Chris Pronger, Teemu Selanne, Scott Neidermeyer, et al. But do you want to know why Anahiem will win the Stanley Cup?
Because the hockey gods hate Canada.
This is will be the third straight year a Canadian team takes on an American from the sun belt (Calgary-Tampa, Edmonton-Carolina). It just isn't meant to be for Canada.
Also, Anahiem is a much better team with a much better goalie, a punishing defense. The Anahiem forwards might be the worst in recent memory to get to the finals (except for Selanne). But unlike Ottawa, there are still a few Ducks who were on the 2003 Cup team--Giguere and Rob Neidermeyer, plus Scott Neidermeyer's three rings in New Jersey, and Chris Pronger was here last year.
But its all about J.S. Giguere. The man already has won the Conn Smyth Trophy. So yeah. Pronger, Neidermeyer, Pahlsson, and Giguere wil shut down the Ottawa top line--and the Ducks can score enough to win, espeically if Anyd McDonald and Teemu Selanne can get it going. I must also add that in all my posts on the NHL playoffs, only Ben Tribbett has consistantly picked the Ducks. So good on him for that.
Teemu Selanne has got to be one of my 10 favorite hockey players of all-time, so I am kinda pulling for the Ducks in this one.
Well, that, and the fact that I'm a Caps fan and I can't stand the Sens.

Yeah. Pronger and Selanne are two of the best players not to have a Cup.
