I'll have a full rundown either tonight or tomorrow but just quick thoughts - Brian way over-performed and was no doubt helped by a last minute robocall from Barbara Comstock, who by the way walks away from this with more people mad at her than she should have ever allowed. Litzenberger should have gotten into the race way much earlier than he did. But frankly, this is not difficult to distill ... John Guevara outworked the other candidates from start to finish, including some last-minute phone banking to drive a last wave of voters that appear to have been the difference. I've been told by multiple people that Brian and his team thought they had won by 1pm. A lesson to all candidate .... run through the tape.
it seemed to me Litzenberger didn't even try. No flyers, no phone calls, He wasn't even at Westfields today. I'm very happy John won. I'll never understand why the party chose to back Brian .. Comstock did not get behind him like she got behind other republicans who are running.If Brians campaign didn't bring her up you wouldn't know she supporter him because it never really came from her camp..
